I can´t leave the Carine Roitfeld subject without the Carine´s style post. How would I...she is known for her personal style, as I also mentioned in the post describing Carine´s background,...I could call it CRU - "Carine Roitfeld Uniform". From the 90`s till now on is composed by her trademark piece, a pencil skirt paired with not so slim fit silk blouse or a soft, enough fitted pullover as an alternative during colder days, season. Her second trademark are the shoes, because no matter the bad weather and not matter where, you will find her in pumps, ankle boots or sandals, all from 4-5 cm up, day to night.
As a famous stylist and magazine editor, you will probably think she is huge fan of accessories. Well, if we think of jewelry, you guess it right, because she adores simple, but special necklaces, interesting rings, heavy bracelets and occasionally important earrings...of course in gold and diamonds. But if we are talking about bags, here you could get wrong by imaging Carine as a bag lover. She is not...not at all. She prefers her hands to be free or in jacket´s pocket. Rarely can you only see her carrying small pouches or clutches and always her cellphone. Last but not least, especially in last years, quite big mirrored sunglasses.
On the top you have my two Carine looks...one more elegant, the second a bit more casual. Both are connected with a nice, 06 oversized white angora-blend coat by Balmain, 05 Havana D-frame mirrored sunglasses by Prism and 11 the skittle set of five hammered 24-karat gold rings from Gurhan.
For the first, more elegant look i picked a 02 stretch-wool creepe skirt with the asymmetrical zip fastening by Antonio Berardi, a marvelous 01 liquid silk-satin white shirt by Haider Ackermann, dreamy 03 Amazon lace-up leather sandals by Aquazzura and the simple lux of 04 14-karat gold diamond necklace by Brooke Gregson.
The alternative, a bit more casual one is made from 08 super soft Valentino´s sweater, 09 edgy asymmetrical leather pencil skirt from Alexander Wang, 10 sharp and elegant Saint Laurent leather ankle boots and 07 the symbol of Gucci´s heritage, the 18-karat gold horsebit bracelet.
