"Menacing Paradise" was the name
given the painted façades that defined Prada´s S/S 2014 menswear show space: palm fronds,
sunsets, an equatorial town mixed with a helicopter on the walls and the thwack
of copter rotors on the soundtrack. A sort of war zone meets tropical paradise
(beautiful surroundings contrasted with the ugliness of people).
I see it as a dark version of her S/S 2012
(men and women) collection. Prada aesthetic was never close to mines, but it´s
always a good fashion time and details inspiration; to see how to modernize, reinterpret the 40´s, 50´s
and the 60´s.
