In the year 2009 Franziska Fuerpass (*1983) founded the label Femme Maison, during her cooperation with George Bezhanishvili, and is running it autonomously since 2012. Fuerpass studied at the fashion department under the direction of Raf Simons and Veronique Branquinho at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and graduated in 2009.
Femme Maison is based in Vienna.
The label is inspired by Louise Bourgeois's art pieces that portrayed relationships either as a whole or in relation to its surroundings, a coalescence between material and female body. Creating women's environs, shelter and security.
