In her fall collection for Ports, Tia Cibani pulled out a bewildering bag of tricks — leather helmets worn with most exits; backless coats; rigid fabrics, and strange asymmetrical cuts. One recalls more saleable and sensible past seasons. And, this time, with just a smattering of chic little sheaths and a simple canvas coat or two, one wonders why Cibani would blur her talent with all that other stuff.
