At G-Star Raw, models strutted their stuff to choreographed effect in a vibrant and, at times, wearable collection. With plenty of tricks up his sleeve, designer Pierre Morisset featured signature denim construction techniques that were anything but basic. Manipulating raw denim into extremely low crotch shorts, reconstructed denim pants and jackets in metallic washes, to name a few, was true to the Amsterdam-based denim brand. But when some of these items were paired with tailored pieces in bold colors, the collection took a feminine turn.
Crayon colors to vanquish winter gloom, prodigious coats tricked out with tab fasteners and bow-legged jeans were the main elements Morisset emphasized for men. The side seams of the jeans curved outward before turning up and away at the inner ankle. Denim shirts and jackets, on the other hand, were held to a standard flattering fit.
