Fashion's 10 Most Wanted For 2010 / So Hot Right Now!

By Connie Wang & Piera Gelardi

vitable to fetishize clothing when you like clothing (and all the stuff that goes with it) as much as we do. For some, a new pair of shoes can actually seem like a new outlook on life, and that perfect dress you just kind of know will transform you into a sexy-smart-princess-woman when you're feeling anything but. Afterall, it's those must-haves, fashion staples, and It items are what give a new year its signature wink and make last year's obsession seem, well, so last year. But if the winter aarrrghs are necessitating another fashion fix, we'd like to direct your attention to 10 of what we think will be the most magical, sumptuous, fly-off-the-shelves goods for 2010 that are bound to put a smile on your face (not to mention a dent in your wallet). So, check out the products that made our New Year's cut...don't say we didn't warn you!

Mulberry Alexa Bag
$950-$1,595 (above)— Coming in two sizes and nine colors, the Alexa falls in perfectly with the school-boy feel for spring and fall, and if its namesake's fame (Alexa Chung, that is) is any indication for its own, we feel like this bag shouldn't have any problem making it big. (In stores this week)

Alexander Wang Freja Lace-Up Boots
$995 (above)—Already cropping up in editorials, we're predicting that his attractive yet practical Little Black Bootie will spur the same frenzy as his Little Black Bootie from last season (and the season before!).

Rag & Bone JEAN
(above, left)—While we may all adore Rag & Bone, we almost love the fact that the design duo released three companion lines. The jeans come in fine, selvaged denim and cuts that you and your bum will be sure to love.
Chanel Tendresse, Inattendu, and Particuliere and Essie Pop Art Pink, Neo Whimsical, Tart Deco, Van D'go
(above, right)— After years of black, neons, and shades to made your grandmother cringe, we expect to see a return to the sweet, girlish shades like blush, putty, and soft, soft pinks.

Prada Orangey Lip Color
(above, left)— While the real deal might have used two shades of lipstick, one lipgloss, and a seriously steady hand, feel free to replicate the orange hue with MAC's Morange, $14, or Kat Von D's A-Go-Go, $18.
Isabel Marant Otway Boot
$1,295 (above, right)— They've only launched a few weeks ago, and they're already sold out online and have spawned two knowckoffs. If anyone finds a pair, mind setting aside one for us?

Givenchy Headband
$500 (above, left)— How's that for a statement piece? It's pretty much a guarantee you'll turn heads in this Lady-Liberty-Gone-Punk headband from Givenchy that's been dominating street style blogs since it showed at last season's Couture.

Celine Leather T-Shirt
(above, right)—Leather for spring? Yes! Celine made a comeback last season in a big way, thanks to Ms. Philo, and one of the standout pieces was this structured leather gem.

Burberry Prorsum Miniskirt
(above, left)— What's not to love about Burberry's twisted, knotted, mini goddess skirt? Universally flattering and with unbelievable sex appeal, we're predicting this skirt (and the equally lust-worthy minidress) in its myriad of cool colors will be a big hit on the red carpet.

Louise Goldin for Topshop Spiked Pumps
$310 (above, right)— Debuting on February 5 online, the shoe has already generated much buzz—from its initial porcu-pump design to its now pared-down...dare we say, demure goth accents.
