Elegant, sophisticated, beautiful – three words that perfectly describe Bulgari. And they’re also pretty apt for the label’s new celebrity face who has just been revealed as Hollywood actress Julianne Moore!
The luxury Italian jewellery and accessories label has snapped up Ms Moore to front their new ‘Eccentric Charisma’ campaign which will debut in February 2010. Shot by fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the ad shows Julianne relaxing in a beautiful boudoir, sporting pieces from Bulgari’s Serpenti collection including large emerald teardrop earrings and twisting snake bracelets. Also making a cameo is Bulgari’s new Chandra bag (we LOVE). Full of sensual satins, brocades and colourful peacock feathers, the shoot was inspired by Jean-Leon Gerome’s famous painting Odalisque.
Julianne Moore is a big fan of Bulgari and was a guest at their 125th anniversary auction earlier this month. The brand, which has been around since 1884 (wow), put limited edition watches and one-of-a-kind jewellery creations under the hammer with all proceeds going to Save The Children.
The ‘Eccentric Charisma’ campaign sounds stunning and it’s great to see such an accomplished actress teaming up with an equally amazing brand. A match made in heaven, non?
