Costume National S/S 2010 / PFW / Day five

Ennio Capasa delivered the sexy, rock-inspired glamour for which his Costume National brand is known. In the program notes, the Italian designer said nature and progressive rock influenced his spring collection. Many fabrics showed frayed yarns; others shimmered, ready for the stage lights. Silhouettes were slinky and dangerously short, with leather microshorts paired with matching motorcycle jackets or vests as well as ultratight trousers offsetting lamé jacquard motifs. A blue dress came decorated with reflective lamé fringes and a flowing blue silk gown was slit all the way up the leg. Capasa introduced an abstract floral print to soften the harder vibe.
