Sweeping away any romantic vision of Cacharel, in his debut collection, Cédric Charlier unveiled a sporty, modernist and, above all, wearable look — crisp white shirtdresses, oversize T-shirts and pleated full-skirted cotton frocks, in mainly powdery tones that veered in a more grown-up direction, but lacked a little emotion and fun.
