Fay S/S 2010 / MFW / Day four

For his fourth season, Giles Deacon channeled the elegance of Fifties French actress and model Capucine and in doing so offered plenty of novelty for today’s pussy cats asking, “What’s new?” Somewhere between a cropped trench coat and a cloak, the designer’s jackets had voluminous sleeves and drawstring details. These came in techno fabrics such as impermeable silks, wrinkled gauzes or treated suede; some were printed with Fay’s signature hook, while soft pastels contrasted with flashy fluorescents.
