For their second men’s effort at Ferré, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi revived many of the old brand signifiers: gold embroidery, black leather, heavy knits, broad shoulders, and even a big, beaded letter F for the torso. While there was a nod to the Riviera in pinstripes and pastels, the designers’ penchant for restrictive tailoring and hard-edged styling made the collection seem rigid and heavy for spring.
