I’m a bit embarrassed to say I’d not actually heard of Ziad Ghanem’s striking ready-to-wear label Maiden Britain until I came across a mega-bouffanted Luke Worrall striking some serious poses in a photoshoot for the label on CoutequeCoute over the weekend.
The brainchild of Ghanem and graphic artist Robert Boon, Maiden Britain is actually an evolving global collective, with members ranging from performance artists to poets to tailors. The brilliantly eclectic results capture the dynamism and passion of this diverse bunch, combining playfulness, politics and pure anarchy!
