It´s a simple, sensual perfume and it
captures the aromatic heart of Linda´s original Jasmine & Neroli Face Oil
with its heady combination of delicately fragrant Jasmine and spicy Neroli. An
oil based perfume with an incredibly silky touch on the skin, Rodin has a
distinctive signature at once intimate and long lasting. We can easily say - a perfect spring perfume.
The latest issue features a 140-page portfolio by Juergen Teller and a 52-page supplement dedicated to Raf Simon´s first season at Calvin Klein. Not enough? Hmm, doubt it, but there´s more, like the Pulitzer-Prize winning critic Robin Givhan, sound and visual activists Michael Gaubert and Frédéric Sanchez,…and it continues.
In this something more than hour and a half interview, the German fine-artist and Tate Turner prize winner, but also activist and musician Wolfgang Tillmans discuss with Lou Stoppard for the SHOWstudio’s "In Camera" series* about art and photography, his experiences living in London and Berlin, but also about the impact HIV has had on his life and how affected his work.
If you ever thought to get an easy,
specific, one-thing collection at Prada, you were wrong or you never really got
Miuccia´s aesthetic, yeah that famous "the beauty of ugly." In this this occasion the focus is on
leisurewear/sportswear. Sounds easy, too easy for this Milanese brand, and you
are right, because Miuccia this time sees his man (and woman, as it is a part
of the show too, showcasing traditionally a pre-collection) sharing
the wardrobe with a traveller, parachutist, explorer and even a cowboy.
Utilitarian style goes hand-by-hand with active-wear, a galore of layered
wardrobe made mostly by technical fabrics, shoes included. Not to mention the
accessories of the season, at least for Prada, the return on the spotlight of
the brand´s nylon backpack, originally invented by dame Prada in the 1990´s,
the one that among other Prada nylon-accessories started to make a fortune to
the brand.
Acne Studios completely re-launched its denim line, now titled "Acne Studios Blå Konst." The unpredicted move looks as a (good) surprise, but who knows the brand, knows that denim is actually the brand´s "pillar" product from where everything started. "I always had a vision of Acne Studios being a design-driven brand, even since we launched the first 100 pairs of jeans," said Acne creative director, Jonny Johansson. "I will always love denim as it is a part of our roots, our DNA." The jeans part of the collection is composed by three types of fits, Land (the loose one), River (the tapered one) and North (the slim one) for men, while Log (loose) and South (straight) for women, among jackets, tops, shoes, bags and accessories.
Jeans
are one of those fashion staples that are present in every person’s wardrobe
(do you remember our "D Week"?), fashion-lover and non, for most men´s favourite pants to
wear in almost every occasion, as though any other option it doesn´t exist. But
how you can blame us, if these cotton-made garment is (most of them are) so
comfortable and easy to mix-match from day to night looks, becoming to us like
a second skin. I must admit that last few years I´ve change a bit this habit by
reaching for other pant-options, and believe me guys, they are plenty of them,
but once in a while it is a pure pleasure to slip in one of those 90´s-shaped
jeans, comfortable, a bit loose, with a bit higher rise, working as a
booty-accentuater, like this fromHelmut Lang. It´s not a case that many women opt for men
jeans too, afterall this is one of the first unisex garments.
